Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here!
My name is Callie.
I’m a writer, (newby) photographer, food-lover, and runner. I love music- I play guitar and ‘dabble’ on the piano. I am addicted to coffee and all things sweet. I love old things and sneak off to go junk shopping any time I have a dollar. Shhh. Don’t tell hubs.
I do all the writing and some of the photography here at little morgan people. My amazing husband, Brandon takes most of the food photos, and all of the good ones. Sometimes I still can’t believe he’s mine.
This man has been my best friend from the time that I was 12…and has loved me since he was 15- which in 3 years will have been for half of his life. Is that crazy or what? He’s a smart dude and does all the technical-behind the scenes stuff here on littlemorganpeople. So any questions about the cool stuff you see on this site should be directed at him. Did I mention that I barely know how to turn my computer on?
Fun fact: At a towering height of 5’3, I used to be the 2nd tallest Morgan…looking up to no one but brother-in-law Joel. However, since these two lovebirds got married-
I’ve been looking up to my adorable sister-in-law (my brother-in-law Davis’ lovely wife) Ashleigh- both literally and figuratively. My husband is (maybe) 5’1, though he did just get a new pair of shoes that put him at nearly 5’2, which is why at times you might hear me refer to him as ‘the hobbit’. And it’s also part of the reason for the name of ye ole blog… We are little Morgan people.
The other reason for the name, little Morgan people?
These guys.
So Who Am I?
By day I am a mother of 3. I leap tall (lego) buildings in a single bound, I fix boo-boo’s with my magical mommy kisses, and I singlehandedly wrangle these wild tiny people- with no more than a hopeful prayer and a BIG dose of grace.

Hi Callie,
You’re so happy we’re here….and we’re so happy you’re here. At least I am, because I really need to hear what you have to say!
A little background information…..I have known Bo and Mary Jane Morgan for YEARS, though I haven’t had the chance to be around them for quite some time. I met them when I joined Woodland Presbyterian Church here in Hattiesburg back in about 1982. Well, actually that’s when I met Mary Jane. I’ve known Bo for a lot longer, since he grew up in the ‘burg. I was classmates with his sister, Carrie.
When I was a member of Woodland, I taught Sunday School – 3-year-olds – for 6 years. PRECIOUS LITTLE CHILDREN. Joel was in my class the first year I taught. Then Brandon came along. He called me Mrs. Stanwee (my last name at the time was Stanley). I loved it. I loved him….along with all the other
wild little Indians!! That was a long time ago, and my senior mind won’t let me remember any particulars to fill you in on about Brandon as a 3-year-old in Sunday School…but there are no BAD memories:-))
I just want to tell you that you are such an encourager and a total delight! Perhaps we will meet some day and I’ll give you a big hug!! Please keep being honest about your feelings (not that I feel you could be any other way) and keep playing the piano and the guitar and singing and writing and taking pictures…and going junk-shopping whenever you can! And keep loving Brandon and those adorable little ones of yours! You are a treasure!!!
Well, Mrs. Stanwee, What a precious note to come home and find! Your kind words mean so much to this insecure heart. I am so glad you stopped by to say hello, and please come back again! And, I don’t mind admitting that the thought of my hubby as a little boy in Sunday school puts a lump in my throat. I’m betting he was pretty cute.
Blessings to you!
